HEREFORD NRCD BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
James Lindsey, Treasurer/Education Supervisor
The Parker/Lindsey family has been in the area and ranching business since the 1800’s. Parker Canyon Lake by Canelo was named after James’ great-great-grandfather William Parker. The Lindsey family still has a cow/calf operation there. Jame's grandmother, Unice Parker Lindsey homesteaded the Charleston Ranch in 1930. The family still runs a cow/calf operation there as well. James grew up at that ranch and went to school in Tombstone and college in Arizona. The Charleston Ranch has been the home to his grandmother, uncles, aunt, father, brother and sister. James enjoys the ranching way of life, the daily interaction with nature and the chance to preserve the history of the family ranch by implementing conservation practices.
John and his wife, JoBeth ranch at the San Jose Ranch near Bisbee, and have been doing so for 38 years.
John grew up ranching with his father, Jack Ladd, HNRCD Advisor, and mother
Marie, and he is a proud 4th generation area rancher.
John was away from home attending Northern Arizona University and Arizona Carpenter Apprenticeship but returned in 1989 to carry on the ranching tradition.
John and JoBeth married in 1977 and have three sons. The Ladds raise Hereford and Black Angus cattle.
Pat Call first came to the area in 1951. Call lives in the Sierra Vista area with his wife Trish and has two grown sons – both born and raised in Sierra Vista. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and is a Vietnam era veteran.

In 2001 he was first elected to the Cochise County Board of Supervisors and subsequently served five 4-year terms in that position. In 2019 he was appointed to fill the position of Presiding Judge for the Sierra Vista Justice Court. Mr. Call retired from public service on December 31, 2020.
